ARQÉ Global wins twice at the 2026 Australian Web Awards

Moshi’s work for ARQÉ Global has won the Retail & eCommerce and Shopify categories at the 2026 Australian Web Awards. Here is the thinking behind the project.
Looking back, this was a pretty special few days for a little business from Bunbury. Our work for ARQÉ Global won two categories at the 2026 Australian Web Awards: Retail & eCommerce and Shopify.
I was chuffed. There is a lot of work between the first conversation and a website going live, and having that work recognised gave us a lovely reason to pause and appreciate the people behind it. ARQÉ trusted us with its brand, and that is where this story starts.
A skincare brand with a clear point of view
ARQÉ is an Australian skincare brand built around the relationship between science, artistry and ritual. Its website needed to communicate that character while helping visitors understand the collection and shop.
That meant giving the experience a considered pace. Product photography, typography, space and language needed to work together, with enough room for the brand’s story and a clear route into the products.
Helping the collection make sense
One of the defining parts of the website is its treatment of skincare as a routine. Morning and evening ritual guidance helps visitors explore how individual products fit into the wider collection.
Alongside the product pages are brand information, a journal and practical customer service content. Together, those elements support a visitor who wants to learn as well as one who arrives ready to buy.
Our aim was to connect that editorial experience with the practical requirements of an online store. The visual direction and the shopping journey needed to feel like parts of the same brand.
Two categories, one carefully considered project
The Australian Web Awards lists ARQÉ Global, by Moshi Moshi Marketing, as the winner in both Retail & eCommerce and Shopify. Seeing the project recognised in an industry category and a platform category makes this a particularly satisfying result.
I have a lot of respect for what the Australian Web Awards represents. It gives our industry a chance to step back, recognise the craft and celebrate the people putting so much care into the web experiences we use every day. The judging considers design, development, user experience, content, accessibility and SEO, recognising the many disciplines that go into making a website work well.
And honestly, the quality of the Australian web industry is something else. I have long felt that we punch well above our weight globally. There are outstanding teams right across the country doing thoughtful, technically accomplished and beautifully considered work. The standard is exceptionally high, and spending time looking through the finalists and winners is both inspiring and a healthy reminder to keep learning.
To have our work recognised in that company means a great deal. It is a privilege to be part of an industry with so much talent, generosity and ambition, and a lovely encouragement to keep raising our own standards.
I am proud of the work behind it: the decisions about what to emphasise, how to organise the content and how to carry the identity through the experience. Those decisions are where much of the design happens.
International recognition, two days later
Just two days after the Australian Web Awards results, the same project received two international wins at the Web Excellence Awards, in Beauty and eCommerce. Four wins across two awards programmes made this an extraordinary few days for the project and everyone involved.
On a personal note, it was lovely to return to the Australian Web Awards, having last been involved with finalist projects back in 2012. A lot has changed since then, but the value of working with good people has stayed with me.
The people who brought it together
A heartfelt thank-you to Jean-Marc Alophon of Bump Digital, a valued collaborator whose specialist Shopify skills helped us deliver this project. Jean-Marc, it was a pleasure working with you, and I am delighted we get to share this recognition.
My role was to shape the design and user interface: how the brand came through on screen, how the pages worked together and how people found their way through the experience.
Bailey was the glue that kept the project moving, coordinating the work and keeping things progressing for Craig and Cahleen at ARQÉ. That steady effort deserves recognition too.
And to Craig and Cahleen: thank you for trusting us with your vision and giving us the opportunity to help bring it to life. This was a shared effort, and I am proud of what we achieved together.
Thank you, too, to the organisers and judges of both awards programmes, and congratulations to the other winners and finalists. There is some wonderful work being done out there, and it is a privilege to be part of that community.
For me, this is a moment to appreciate the work, the friendships and the trust behind it. I am grateful for how far we have come, and looking forward to what we get to make together next.
